Dr. J. F. "Eric" Hamrick
Dr. Eric Hamrick enjoys providing his patients with the highest level of care and expertise.
Dr. Hamrick received his Bachelor of Science degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Southern University in 1976. He then completed his dental training at the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine, obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1982. Dr. Hamrick attended the University of Alabama's Department of Periodontics where he receiving his Certificate in Periodontics in 1984.
Dr. Hamrick is a past president of the South Carolina Society of Periodontics and the Greenville Dental Society. He currently maintains privileges with the Greenville Hospital System and is a past chairman of its Department of Dentistry. Dr. Hamrick is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry. He is a member of the Southern Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Osseointegration, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Greenville County Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Hamrick has extensive experience in periodontal therapy, cosmetic periodontal surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery and dental implant therapy and is a certified Wilckodontics® provider.
Dr. Hamrick is fully trained and licensed to perform Laser Periodontal Therapy™ using LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) for treating periodontal disease. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics for the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Dental Medicine. He lectures both locally and nationally on topics including bone grafting, implant-orthodontic-restorative relationships, implant placement, guided implant therapy and virtual treatment planning. Dr. Hamrick hosts a study club which provides exceptional continuing education for himself and his colleagues.
Dr. Hamrick has maintained a private practice in Greenville, South Carolina for more than twenty-five years. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children and grandchildren and is an avid outdoorsman. His greatest interests still include his fascination with dentistry, discovering and applying cutting edge technology and meeting the diverse needs of his patients.
Dr. Ryan J. Voelkert
Dr. Ryan Voelkert has a mission to deliver the best possible care to his patients by utilizing skill, training and communication. Dr. Voelkert received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University and then completed his dental training at the Medical University of South Carolina's College of Dental Medicine. While there, he went on to complete his specialty training in periodontics, and also obtained his Masters of Health Science.
Dr. Voelkert has extensive training in periodontal and regenerative therapy, cosmetic periodontal surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery and dental implant therapy. He is one of the few South Carolina dentists who is a certified Wilckodontics provider, offering Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics. Dr. Voelkert is fully trained and licensed to perform Laser Periodontal Therapy™ using LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) for treating periodontal disease. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry. He is a current member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Greenville County Dental Society, where he currently serves as Vice President. He maintains privileges with the Greenville Hospital System and has recently been appointed as an Adjunct Instructor to the faculty of the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Voelkert is committed to continuing education and hosts a professional dental study club in the Greenville area. He has also presented lecture programs, speaking on subjects including periodontal maintenance techniques, bisphosphonate medications affecting dental treatment, implant-orthodontic-restorative relationships and dental implant concepts. Dr. Voelkert has also completed research and presented topics in the United States and Canada regarding alveolar ridge preservation and immunologic concepts.
Dr. Voelkert has maintained a private practice in Greenville, South Carolina since 2004 and enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. He continues to appreciate the pursuit of technology and innovation, the satisfaction of helping others and the opportunity to perform dynamic dentistry.
Diane Jenkins, D.M.D.
Dr. Diane Jenkins completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine training at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2009. She went on to complete her Periodontal training and Masters of Science in May of 2012. Prior to completing her dental education, Dr. Jenkins graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in 1992. She then served as a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care and Labor and Delivery for Central Baptist Hospital and Magee Women’s center.
Dr. Jenkins’s research entitled “Programmatic Assessment of a University-Based Implant Training Program Using Patient-Centered Outcomes” will soon be published in the Journal of Dental Education.
Dr. Jenkins is happily married to her husband Greg, an attorney, and enjoys spending time with their twelve year old daughter. She also enjoys fitness, cooking, flower arranging and philanthropy. We are thrilled to have her join the Periodontics of Greenville Team!
Dr. C.T. "Tommy" Hamrick, III (Retired)
Following more than thirty years of dedicated service, Dr. Tommy Hamrick retired from active periodontal practice in July of 2012. Our team will be forever grateful to him as the pioneer of our practice. He forged a path of progressive periodontal care by being one of the first periodontists in Greenville to provide dental implant therapy and he continually excelled in periodontal procedures and technology. His longtime staff and patients adore him and he leaves a legacy of compassionate care and devotion. After many years of faithful service to his patients, he most certainly deserves this time to pursue his personal interests and enjoyment!
